# I’m looking for some advice for my Ring of Fire. To preface this…

I’m looking for some advice for my Ring of Fire. To preface this plant has been repotted, fertilizer, grow light, window, and scoured/treated for any pests over the last year i’ve had it. I bought it with more leaves and i actually trimmed off some older leaves to even out the root to leaf ratio. i’ve had no growth at all. i don’t know what the thing in the middle is because it’s not a leaf. it won’t grow and it doesn’t shed any old material. it used to be more red but it’s slowly been fading. i added a humidifier right next to it to help loosen just in case it is a leaf but nothing. i don’t want to get rid of it but i also don’t know what else to do. Thank you for reading 🫶🏼🩷

How do the roots look? Can you see them around the sides of the pot? I’ve had some plants that spent a LONG time filling in their roots before they even thought about growing a new leaf. That middle part will eventually develop into the next new leaf, but it can stay at that stage for a long time

i actually just repotted it and the roots are nice. it’s in a smaller pot to fit the rootball
