# Hello, Wondering if anyone can help, I bought a teenie tiny…

Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help, I bought a teenie tiny philodendron prince of orange. However all the new growth comes out dark red/burgundy? Is it something I’m doing? I have tried it in a window I’ve moved it in my grow cupboard with grow lights on for 14hours but still the same.

A couple months after I bought a philodendron red sun (I have a philodendron problem…) and they look suspiciously alike.

Anyone any ideas or do I just have a plant that was labeled incorrectly? 😂

Looks like either a young McColey’s Finale or a Burgundy to me.

Could still be a prince of orange, they tend to be darker when they’re young, and brighten up as the age.

I’ve repotted him so guess I will see what he turns out to be!
