# Ohhh nooo. She’s turning brown and squishy. It did this to two leaves…

Ohhh nooo. She’s turning brown and squishy. It did this to two leaves in July and trimmed em off so I thought I was safe but now I got another mushy leaf. Any ideas?? I’m stumped

No ideas, but this happened on my Pink Princess today. It’s so frustrating. People will say “it’s a bruise, some mechanical damage happened as the leaf was unfurling” but I don’t believe that at all. 😩

That started happening to my birkin this summer too. I put mine out on the porch, so for me it could be too much light. But my biggest suspect is overwatering. I’ve had the rainiest summer, so the outdoor plants haven’t had any time to dry

Looks like an overwatering issue. I water mine biweekly. Sometimes more if needed. She seems happier with a reasonable amount of neglect 😂

This happened to my white wizard, and mine was most certainly over watering. I realized my pot didn’t have enough drainage to support how often I watered. Once I showed a little neglect we are back on track and new growth is brown squishy free

I did wonder if it was the pot. It’s only got one good size hole on the bottom.
