# Hey everyone, I’m new to plants and am desperately looking for advice…

Hey everyone, I’m new to plants and am desperately looking for advice to save my pink princess. The soil has been wet for a while and I’m afraid I’ve overwatered her and now there’s root rot. I also have what I believe to be are fungal gnats and tiny white bugs crawling in the soil. I sprayed neem oil over the soil last night, but i don’t think it’s done anything. I’m worried I reported too soon and the pot is just too big which allowed for excess water to be retained. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I don’t want to kill her 😭

If you take the plant and soil out and wrap her in a towel overnight that should absorb some moisture!
After that you could try bottom watering if you’re prone to overwater like me! I just set them in a bowl or tray of water for an hour or so and let them take what they need. For the pests I use captain jacks dead bug! It’s not natural but it works great for me - took out a massive thrips problem!! I hope it helps and you get some pretty pink leaves!!

use diluted hydrogen peroxide to simultaneously kill the fungus gnats and treat the root rot. Use a 1:4 solution

Spray while still in the pot, or remove from the pot?
