# hello! i picked up this golden pothos from a whole foods because he…

hello! i picked up this golden pothos from a whole foods because he was looking real sad. he’s perked up quite a bit over the last couple of days, but i was wondering if anyone could tell me what these marks could be from and how to prevent them in the future? he was stuffed behind some other plants on a shelf far away from the sun so i don’t think it’s a sunburn, but i could be wrong. thanks in advance!

Hmmm I’d check for pests, I was told that spots on leaves with a halo of yellow around it can be a sign of that

Could be physical damage from being stuffed in the back of the shelf. Def check for pests too tho. My pothos came with a few of these and it’s been fine.

In my experience pothos are pretty susceptible to mealy bugs. They like to hide in the little crevice where the leaves attach to the stem. So be sure to check there!  
I thought that the yellow around the spots meant fungus ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ but I’m not super sure.
