Don’t overwater and make sure it gets good lighting

My planter that it came with has a rope and you’re supposed to fill it with water so it climbs up the rope. Should I remove that?

It’s called a wick and grow pot those roots are more used to water then soil since the soil is basically always moist! When I repotted my manjula pothos he wasn’t doing too well because of that he was overwatered because of it! Slowly transition them off the wick if you can! My manjula I hope so is finally springing back but I can’t tell you how many leaves I lost because of those wicks I do not like them what so ever!

Thank you so much. I emptied out the water in the bottom and she perked up. I think she wasn’t getting watered at all at Walmart which is where I got her
