# I overwatered the mother plant of these stems so I decided to trim…

I overwatered the mother plant of these stems so I decided to trim the rotted roots off and rehab them in water … but now this leaf is yellowing…?? Why is she upset? These have been in water for 10 days now and I’ve changed the water once.

I wouldn’t worry if its just one. The plant is gonna be shocked a bit, but its also changed its energy to produce roots and not sustain all its leaves. As long as its roots are healthy and growing its good.

Agree with the other comment. Also, for pothos, no need to change the water. Just top it off as needed as pothos will release rooting hormones into the water.
