Hello everyone!! I bought this pothos about a month ago. In all my life, I have never been able to keep plants alive, but I’m hoping this time around, I’ll have a better time of it!

The other day, I cut yellow and some browning leaves off (not from the hanging parts, from the main pot). I’m worried I might be overwatering, so I am going to adopt the chopstick idea. What I’m wondering now is if the grow light is also a problem? I don’t have windows to put this guy in because I live on the main floor of an apartment building (zero privacy if curtains are open). Will this set up work?

Yes as long as you have a good grow light and maybe a small humidifier you should be good. Just make sure you don’t water unless the soil is dry an inch down so the chopsticks a good idea. Pothos are pretty easy to care for!

I had mine under/near a grow light for a while and she really liked it and did well. For the windows I get the transparency/privacy film from Gila and during the day it acts as a mirror so you can have blinds open. Also helps to protect from the UV so my orchids do really well in the window sil without getting burnt.

I never thought about window films!!! Thanks for that :)

You’re welcome! Hope they help! Oh heads up, when it’s dark at night (like when the inside is brighter than the outside) then they become see through so a blind might be required still at night.

i have the same grow lights and they are by far the best i’ve tried. it will do just fine 🌱🌱 does your pot have drainage?

It has drainage. After I water it, I make sure to drain the catcher at the bottom
