# Is this brown stuff fungus or is this just like the stuff monstera…

Is this brown stuff fungus or is this just like the stuff monstera produces to strengthen its stems? I thought that at first but now I see a little on a leaf. The spots on this leaf are same thing as on stem. I did have a monstera adansonii with it but just separated them
