Hello I’m newbie here
I was gifted a beautiful golden pothos for Mother’s Day
I did repotted the next two days I believe… now I’m doubting myself cause this ceramic pot is 6 inches thinking too small and I used all purpose soil that was before I got perlite , black gold orchid potting mix which contains sonphum moss \* can’t spell the word, perlite , pumice and some bark and black gold all purpose soil

Should I repot in my handmade soil mix and get 8 inches pot

Would love your feedback and much thanks

Yes yes yes on repotting to the better handmade soil mix, I’m not too sure the pot size would make a huge huge difference, most plants love to be snug in their homes

Thank you so much I’ll repot this weekend
Most of pothos I seen they tend to be in wide nursery pot? Maybe I’m wrong I’ll repot find the root ball and clean up maybe this 6 inches should be ok

No problem! Hmmm yeah but they have a pretty extensive vertical root system as well, if the root ball is large and you want to go up another pot size just be careful to have a really well draining mix and not to overwater

Much better the soil was soooo wet in 6 inch pot and repotted her in 7/8 inches nursery pot
Should I water her ???

Ugh yeah that all purpose stuff is a killer lol, learned the hard way, perfect!! I’d give her a couple days to adjust and then water, gotta kindve help dry out the roots and then encourage them to look for water in the new soil before dousing

According to Planta should water her in four days
The roots and soil was pretty moist so I rather not to water til four day?
