Why is this turning yellow? And i had to cut a new leaf? Please any advice helps. Please help. She was my moms plant before she passed away. Ty

Biggest cause of yellowing is overwatering. Only other thing I can think of is when was the last time you fertilized it? It might be lacking nutrients

So what should i do? Cut back on watering cause i only do it when app says so. And the nutrients should I give it

I like to grab a chop stick \& stick it in the soil to check if it’s dry or not. If it’s clean when it comes out give her a soak. If it’s sticking to the stick \& still moist snooze your watering.

For fertilizer I like to use liquid to add to my water. There’s a variety, you can go to your local Walmart or check out Amazon. You can use all purpose or tropical.

Agreed on only watering when dry, even if planta says to do it :) someone once wrote here that planta’s reminders are more like reminders to check the plant than actually do anything with it 😂 so many factors can affect watering needs from season to season.

Seems to me like she’s outgrowing her pot. When was she repotted last?

bigger the pot, bigger the plant ! it will grow into/out of its environment . 💚

I like to repot every spring and go up a couple of inches.
