# I adopted this plant from a previous owner. Since I’ve taken…

_Posted by Madz on 2023-08-20_

I adopted this plant from a previous owner. Since I’ve taken ownership (about 2 years ago) this plant baby has had gaps (like the photo linked below.) This plant has new buds growing on the other side, but this particular side has had trouble since I adopted it. Any ideas as to how I can help this babe thrive?

I say cut it and propagate that section ☺️

Where would you suggest I cut it?

Back by the pot, then you can propagate the nodes between and leave 2-3 nodes on the section with leaves… something like this ☺️

It will also start growing from the main plant at the node you cut closest to. Good luck!!

When I trimmed these 2 vines, it pushed 2 new growth points on the last 2 nodes on each vine ☺️

No problem!

You can upgrade to a slightly bigger pot and place the new rooted cuttings in the sparse areas to reshape and fill out the plant.
