# I just re potted my silver pothos and I’m freaking out. I disrupted…

I just re potted my silver pothos and I’m freaking out. I disrupted the root ball and broke some roots off. Also a leaf snapped off. I’m literally so stressed out right now. It was doing so well and so healthy and had so much new growth. I imagine that’s all going to change now..

Pothos are super hardy. They don't nickname the pothos varieties "devil's ivy" for nothing. 😈 Nothing can take them down. 🤣 Those plants are very nearly indestructible. It might show a few days of shock but by next week you'll have new leaves popping out all over!

I understand how stressful it can be if you hurt your plant but I’m sure it will recover :) remember that this hobby should bring you joy and de-stress! I always remind myself of that when I get stressed about a pest or problem.

This is a good point. Working on this though bc when my plants aren’t happy neither am I!!!!

Funny how attached we get. I would be upset and worried too.

Same exact thing happened to me to the point all the soil was gone. The plant was a little sulky for a month and then perked right up.

Thanks everyone. I’m still sad but hopeful she’ll be ok.
