# I’m a plant newbie and I’m trying to figure out what could be going…

I’m a plant newbie and I’m trying to figure out what could be going on with my golden pothos. I brought it outside to shower off the leaves and let it sit there for a few hours to dry and then brought it in. I then noticed some of the leaves were starting to go limp and turn black! Any ideas ??? Thank you.

Hey was it out without shade? If it’s under the sun that’s why it burned it. Once u wet ur plant I’m told leave them for the day then back to normal. If u were cleaning the plant and sprayed the water on the leaves that will make it do that

I mean that cleaning the leaves takes off everything and they tend to be more sensitive after for about 24 hours? I’m just trying to help because I did this to my Dottie 😭 the light burned her leaves!

Sunburned! My golden pothos was sitting in a large window and had turned yellow to the point where it almost had no color. I have since moved it from directly on the windowsill to another area of my living room and it is now bright green and sprouting so many new leaves. These guys love shade!!
