# What can I do with this leaf? It’s been like this for like 5 months…

_Posted by Veronica\_ on 2025-03-21_

What can I do with this leaf? It’s been like this for like 5 months now, the leaf is still pretty much thriving. The rest of the plant is doing great. But its the only “not pretty” part of the plant. Do I cut it off or leave it alone?

I sometimes cut the brown part off so it’s not as noticeable, or if you can spare the leaf and still have a full looking plant you can remove it entirely!

Okay thank you! Does cutting that part not affect the growth of that leaf? Or will it just heal ?

It will heal closed, but it won’t replace the part you cut off. Is that the last leaf on the vine? Cut it above the node and two new vines will sprout.

I usually try to avoid cutting on the green part so you’re not causing any further damage. that part will never heal itself anyway and it’s probably done growing!
