# ive been trying to figure out what plant this is. i’m not sure about…

ive been trying to figure out what plant this is. i’m not sure about what the app is telling me what it is now. at first when i got it i thought it was a bamboo plant. it says this plant has sap on it that’s dangerous to touch but this plant doesn’t have any of the sap. i have had this thing for a good couple months now. can someone help me?

Definitely some sort of dieffenbachia! I have one that looks quite similar but with a darker green. The poisonous sap is in their leaves and stems, and I actually had an unfortunate experience as I didn’t know this before cutting and propagating mine 😅 The sap has raphides which cut into your skin, and make it SUPER itchy and burn, so be mindful of this!
