# does anyone have any idea what this is? my boyfriend got it for me…

does anyone have any idea what this is? my boyfriend got it for me for my birthday, but I never got a good identification result. I know it’s some kind of Bonsai, just don’t know what.

One day it looked great and the next it looked miserable. I watered it every 3 days, and I just started putting a nutrient solution in it to try and revive it. I also repotted it, I just didn’t get a chance to change the dirt. Is it reviveable? It’s going to live outside until the temperature drops again.

I ran this close up of your photo and planta said common Myrtle. I don’t know if that helps at all. Can he ask where he bought it for identification?🤔

\*Unless you’re certain that this is a nutrient issue, it’s generally good to hold off on fertilizer/adding nutrients when a plant fades quick like this. If the roots are ill or damaged, then they will have trouble taking up the nutrients and it could burn them instead
