# Hi! I just bought this plant from a hobby greenhouse and am curious…

Hi! I just bought this plant from a hobby greenhouse and am curious what everyone might think it is. It was listed as Aglaonema Silver but when I look that up it it says it’s common name is Chinese Evergreen. It looks similar but not really the same. Is that what I have here? Thanks!

It’s in the same family! Aglaonema is the scientific name for Chinese evergreen. So beautiful!

Gotcha! I was a little confused because they looked similar but not identical. Either way, I thought this lady was gorgeous and couldn’t pass up on bringing her home 🥰

Honestly Chinese evergreens are my favorite! They have so many variations and are so low maintenance with such beautiful growth. Excited for you:)

I have that same kind! Definitely an algaonema/Chinese evergreen. I originally put mine is as a “silverado” subspecies, but that isn’t a perfect match. Luckily the care is the same between the different color varieties
