# Can someone help me identify this plant? One scan of the plant calls…

_Posted by George on 2025-07-12_

Can someone help me identify this plant? One scan of the plant calls it a dancing bones, another calls it a pencil cactus, a third called it a mistletoe cactus. When i google images of these three plants, they all seem to look the same to me but their care seems different. The label on the pot says “cactus” so… i could use some help! Many thanks in advance

Can you post another picture that’s a little closer to the plant please?

Yeah this looks just like my dancing bones. It’s a rhipsalis but I don’t know which one

Have you tried asking ChatGPT? I use it when this app doesn’t find things and it seems to be very accurate 😊

I think it's a pencil cactus

I think it’s a rhipsalis. Called dancing bones. It looks just like mine.

I think it’s Hatiora salicornioides. Which used to be classified as a rhipsalis but I guess they reclassified it

It is a Rhipsalis. I had one, it was dubbed a pencil cactus.
