# Hi everyone! I’ve had these succulents for a bit, but I have no idea…

_Posted by Meppy on 2024-05-03_

Hi everyone! I’ve had these succulents for a bit, but I have no idea what any of them are. I tried to figure out on my own with Google image searches but I figured it would be good to ask people who know more about plants for help. They’re all potted in a mix of cactus and succulent soil with extra perlite and I was wondering if I could get some help identifying them and maybe on how to take care of them better? I would really appreciate any help I can get :D

based on your photos I think: 1. Aeonium haworthii 2. Graptopetalum paraguayense 3. Sedum spathulifolium 4. Echeveria gibbiflora 5. Kalanchoe tomentosa 6. Sedum pachyphyllum 7. Echeveria elegans

3 \& 4 look like my echeveria perle von nurnburg babies when they need more light. If not, probably some other variety of echeveria. They show their true colors when they get enough sun. Purple in my case, but you won’t really know what color yours are until they get more sun.😊

2 looks like a grapetopetalum or grapetosedum. Here’s one of mine for reference. They have chunky leaves that look sort of like echeveria and form rosettes.

Like the others, they’ll have to get more sun before they’ll show their true colors. But the variety should help you figure out how to take care of them. Ghost plant is a good example to look up for care.

1 looks a lot like my sedeveria sorrento. Even its not the exact same one, probably a sedeveria. Will have to give it more light to bring out true colors. All the ones I’m showing you are babies that have grown from leaves over winter in a window. So none have their true colors.

It grows less compact naturally like this. But both of ours would probably be a bit more compact if they had more light.

They have chunkier leaves than echeveria but more narrow leaves than grapetopetalum/grapetosedum.

5, 6, and 7, I haven’t ever owned so I did dome digging. I agree with the first comment on your post that 5 \& 6 might be those. I think 7 might be this?

This one from the internet looks more like yours. But I’m still not confident. I am confident it’s not echeveria elegans unless it’s severely overwatered (I don’t think so though). The plant in the picture is sedum lucidum obesum.

I saw this on Etsy and it reminded me there are chunky leaf echeveria. Number 7 is probably some variety of echeveria. This picture is of an echeveria hybrid called Cream Tea.
