# Does anyone know what this is? I found it in the ‘sad plant’ section…

Does anyone know what this is? I found it in the ‘sad plant’ section at a gardening sale. No one could identify it, but one person suggested that it’s a kind of shrub. I tried a plant identification app but it couldn’t identify it either, so my current solution is let it grow and see what happens.  
If anyone has any idea what it is, that would be so helpful!

appears to be some sort of fern!

That’s what I thought at first, but then I looked at the stem. It’s very woody and looks like maybe it’s a clipping off a larger plant?

The leaves kind of remind me of rosa rugosa but they’re very narrow in comparison 🤔

the leaves and growth pattern remind me of mimosa. could it be jacaranda mimosifolia?
