Hi guys! I just got a Hoya mathilde off Amazon! The package was delayed and she was in transit for 2 weeks but she’s looking good! I just wanted to know what other people think, bc the leaves are quite thin and larger than I thought and I’m doubting whether or not it’s actually a mathilde. Also, could anyone provide insight as to what the little brown-ish tan growth is by the bottom leaf?

It’s hard for me to tell, but it may be a Hoya Obovata if the leaves are as big as (or bigger) than a silver dollar.
Mathilde leaves are about the size of a quarter.
The brown thing is a peduncle☺️
Blooms will grow from that, so don’t cut it off.
How nice that you got one with a peduncle!
I hope she flowers for you eventually!

Thank you so much! I think it’s a Hoya that most likely came from a larger parent plant if it has already flowered. The leaves aren’t as big as the obavata. Thank you for sharing! Your plants are gorgeous!
