# I’m at a loss as to the identity of this plant. My ID apps keep…

_Posted by Elleoise on 2025-06-25_

I’m at a loss as to the identity of this plant. My ID apps keep telling me it’s a Manjula Pothos, but I’m not fully convinced. Sadly I let it get a bit sickly and leggy. I forgot I had it and rediscovered it last night when I was doing a plant inventory. Regardless of its identity it’s a beautifully variegated plant and I’m sad I’ve been missing out on its potential beauty.

Depending on where you got it/how much it was I’d say it’s a manjula. Long shot would be a glacier

If you can get some pics in natural light it’ll be easier to tell!

This is the one that I snagged two cuttings off of a friend’s plant. She didn’t know/remember what its name was, she bought it because she thought it was pretty. I do remember her saying that it “wasn’t cheap”Its mother plant is/was (I’m no longer in contact w/her) at the time very large and full. I’ve had it around 8 months. So I’ve never actually known what it is. The only reason I’m asking about it now is because I’m making a plant journal and I’m in the process of adding all my plants to it. I’m not at home right now, but when I get home I’ll take a few pics of it outside.

Here’s a few pics taken outside.

the main difference with Manjula and glacier is that glaciers have more silver in the leaves. I think this is a Manjula! Here’s one that looks a bit more like yours (although this is a very high variegation plant). I think you got a looker! Some of them have way more speckling

Also glacier tend to follow the pnj pattern on the leaf with green in the middle

My gosh I just saw your response. Thank you. I too keep coming back to manjula.
