# Hellooo (: new to collecting hoyas but loving who i have so far.…

Hellooo (: new to collecting hoyas but loving who i have so far. Found this guy on clearance at Home Depot but I need help identifying what kind he is. I have a Mathilde splash already but my leaves aren’t this pointy so I wasn’t sure if this guys is the same kind? Any help appreciated

same kind! they grow pointy leaves when there's less light. put it in some higher light and you'll get rounder leaves. hoya are an interesting bunch of plants lol

This looks like a lacunosa.

Lacunosa or khroniana. It’ll be hard to tell unless it flowers. Definitely not Mathilde. They have slightly fuzzy leaves.

Many of my plants have been rescued from the Home Depot clearance rack. I always check the roots because they sometimes overwater and the plants just sit there and sometimes have rot. Hopefully, you’ve already checked. Hoyas like to dry out between waterings. Some people find they can keep them moist but that is pretty risky. Good luck! Hoyas are awesome and resilient.
