I almost missed the first blooms on my Hoya Krinkle 8! The vine was tucked behind the plant. It has 3 peduncles on a fast growing vine. The plant grew a lot in the 6 weeks since I put it outside. The colors lightened due to sun stress.

I’m keeping track of the conditions that helped triggered the blooms. Hopefully, they will bloom next year. I can’t really complain if they don’t.

My Environment: Zone 9, subtropical, Texas coastal, high temperatures, high humidity
Fertilizer: Diluted Miracle Gro (50%) and SuperThrive twice a month
Light: Northeast sun exposure. It gets about 4 hours of direct sun from sunrise to 11 am, bright shade the rest of the day.
June/July temp range: 76°F to 96°F
Water: Tap water. Mostly rain water in July from several storms.
Relative Humidity: 60%
