# Seed pods! I never expected to see seed pods on a hoya! My Hoya…

Seed pods! I never expected to see seed pods on a hoya! My Hoya Krohniana Super Silver put out a few seed pods with some still developing. One pod fell off while I started taking pictures. Then, it opened up about 30 minutes later! I will try to germinate the seeds. 🌱💚💚💚

How exciting. Was it outdoors?

Yes! This was outside on the kitchen window sill. I have lots of moths attracted to the light from the window. I’m assuming the moths pollinated it.

These hoyas had open blooms near the Krohniana:  
Lacunosa, Lacunosa Royal Flush,  
Krimson Queen, Elliptica, Noona (David Cummungii) yellow, and Hoya Heuschkeliana yellow

They are all on that wall in the above photo except the Elliptica which is about 25 ft away.

My Kentiana has no open blooms. My Bella dropped her blooms before they fully opened. These couldn’t be the culprits. 😁

Wow so exciting!!! I wonder if the seeds will turn out to be self or hybrid

I have no idea. I’m so clueless about hoya seeds. I actually never thought I would see one come from my plants! I only prayed they would bloom once. So, I never looked into it. I have to quickly come up to speed.
