# Is your Hoya Krohniana Black not black? The picture shows the one I…

Is your Hoya Krohniana Black not black? The picture shows the one I bought a few months ago that clearly has black leaves. The one next to arrived yesterday without dark leaves. Both are supposed to be the black variety. I’m assuming the green one needs more sun. So, I put it outside to get morning to see if it will tan. 🤨

Mine was like that too! I got a baby one a few months ago and it wasn’t very black. Not as light as the one on the right, but I’ve been putting it in direct sunlight for very brief periods every day and it’s darkening up!
