# Hi everyone! New to Hoyas myself, but my mom has curly leafed one…

Hi everyone! New to Hoyas myself, but my mom has curly leafed one that has thrived for years. Quick question: why are all the leaves on this plant facing away from the window? Do they not like the amount of light?? Thanks in advance for any advice

Put a grow light over it. It might be too far from the light source to detect it.

Even being less than 2 feet away from the window?? Maybe I'll try moving it lower to the ground a bit: it's high up on a bakers rack and may not be getting the most direct path of light

I think that’s what is the problem. Hoyas like light. 💡

I identified a confounding factor: the darn thing had diven down in its nursery pot so that half the top was under the lip. I've turned it back up and will report back
