# Can anyone help me identify these Hoyas? The first was a gift with no…

Can anyone help me identify these Hoyas? The first was a gift with no label, and the other was just labeled as “black margin” when I got it. After googling I’ve come to learn that just describes the black coloring around the leaf edges and doesn’t apply to a single species of Hoya. Thanks in advance for the help!

Black margin is also known as H. verticillata (black margin) You’ll also see H. parasitica (black margin) Same same. The other may be H. sp aff burtoniae. Leaves, esp those that aren’t distinct are not a good indicator of species or cultivar. You can ask again when it flowers. Hope this helps.
