# Hoya flowers plus bonus dischidia watermelon flowers. They’re…

Hoya flowers plus bonus dischidia watermelon flowers. They’re somewhat unremarkable but the plant is super happy. It’s about 3 years old. The callistophylla flowers look like little bunches of grapes when they first start out. I thought they’d be more colorful but the red petals reflex so you can barely see them.

Are your Hoyas outside? None of mine have bloomed yet and I wonder if it’s because they don’t get enough light being indoors. 🧐

They’re indoors but I’ve noticed the plants in my bedroom, which gets significantly colder, and the ones by doors and windows flower more profusely than the others. Also some Hoyas wait until the days shorten so if they’re under a grow light for 12 hrs they won’t flower. Do you have any peduncles? Also Hoya need fertilizer regularly. If the plant doesn’t think it can sustain flowers it won’t bud up. I had one underpotted and it wouldn’t flower. Also make sure it doesn’t get too dry. Sometimes I notice Planta lags in promoting me to water some of my Hoyas. Inconsistent watering can cause issues too.

Those r so cute 🥰 I love that they r so fuzzy lol mine krimson queen is also flowering

I think those flowers last a while. I have two that have never bloomed for me but my friend has one and she said it kinda smells like chocolate. What do you think?
