WHY FLOWERS SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM HERBS

If your main purpose of growing this plant is because of its edible foliage, you should remove all flower buds as soon as you see them emerging. Once your plant start to produce flowers, all of its energy goes into this and you might experience the taste of the leaves to be less aromatic and perhaps even a little bitter. Create a bushier plant and maintain higher levels of essential oils in the leaves by pruning off flowers.
