Cactus and succulent soil

Succulent plants store a lot of water in their stems and leaves, therefore they need a well-drained and aerated growing medium. It should consist of mostly inorganic matter that minimizes the water retention in the soil, makes it easier for you to water your succulents properly and prevents issues like root rot.

Look for a good succulent soil in the store that consists of mostly pumice, grit or coarse sand and a minimal amount of organic matter like peat or compost.

Mix your own

It is also very easy to mix your own Succulent soil. A recommended mix by cacti lovers
